The CALPUFF model is a model used in a wide area of atmospheric diffusion, which has outstanding advantages of application in the larger regional scope under the complex terrain conditions.It uses CALPUFF model to simulate three pollutants(sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and respirable particulate matter) diffusion within Ningbo city based on meteorological data and statistic data of Ningbo city in 2013. The meteorological field and pollutant concentration field within city are getted. Comparing the actural pollutant concentration of 13 monitoring points value with simulation ones, it was found that the error is 25%~30%. And they show a good linear correlation.The CALPUFF model is validated in simulating atmospheric environment in Ningbo city.It also uses the CALPUFF model, combining with the weather, geographical condition to discover diffusion and transmission path of two pollutants in Ningbo city, which provides certain technical reference for industrial layout adjustment in the future to. At the same time, according to the CALPUFF model, it gets the relationship between various regions pollutant transport contribution, and the pollutants transferring matrix is established. According to Air Quality Standards(GB3095-2012), the atmospheric environment capacity in Ningbo city is calculated. The capaity is 263290 tons of sulfur dioxide, 124680 tons of nitrogen dioxide and 22140 tons for respirable particles. At the same time, the regional distribution of the atmospheric environmental capacity is optimized.Finally, based on the model simulation results and pollution status in Ningbo city, it puts forward the suggestions of atmospheric pollution controlling, which include the transformation of power plant clean, motor vehicle pollution control and the adjustment of industrial structure and layout. It provides technical reference for the government environmental management.
