The automobile industry has been an important pillar industry of China's national economy, and it has gradually become an essential part of our social development. Oil and other traditional fossil fuels have big benefit for the growth of the national economic as the main driving force of the automotive industry, However, it can't be ignored that,at the same time,the energy crisis exacerbated domestic and international situation and its growing carbon emissions gradually into a major source of environmental pollution. As a result, with the resources and environment of the dual pressures continue to increase, new energy vehicles have become the main direction of future development of automobile industry.Logistics industry have the characters of high energy consumption and high carbon emission under the energy structure currently, which bring heavy pressure on the urban environment. Therefore, the application of New Energy Vehicle(NEV) is one of the direction of logistics industry development. This paper aims to explore the environmental benefits of the NEV's application in logistics industry. The relationship between the amount of carbon emissions and Logistics is a starting point of this paper, the amount of logistics cities in this study is quantified as the city's cargo turnover. Firstly, this study give an overview of the NEV, followed by the theoretical analysis of the influence of energy vehicles for urban logistics carbon emissions under the view of of technological and the conversion of energy factors. Then, this study establishes the carbon emission model of the urban logistics industry and predicts the cargo turnover of three core cities Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin with the modified Gompertz model. Based on this, the paper calculates the quantity of carbon emission reduction and analyzes the NEV's ability of carbon emission reduction under the different market share and different stage of the technical respectively.This paper estimates the new energy automobile carbon emissions capacity from three aspects:carbon emission reduction capability of Unit NEV, carbon emission reduction capability of NEV after its application, and relationship between the total carbon emissions of urban logistics industry and NEV's market share and the stage of technique. Then we conclude that the NEV has the ability of carbon emission reduction. And more carbon emission will reduce with the development of the NEV's technique. Considering external economy of the logistics industry, the government should increase more policies and subsidies to support the application of NEV, and give the developing priority to the developed cities, which can promote the new energy vehicle's development in logistics industry by the demonstration effect.
