PPVC Seed Latex Reactor Design

PPVC seed reactor is the key equipment in the industrial production of chemical, medical, food and so on. It is using for intensive homogeneous mixes the material of two (or more) liquids, gases and auxiliary by mechanical variable stirring inside of it. It is a device for promoting the production of products with high economic benefits and has broad pplicability. The polymerization seed reactor plays an important role in the PVC roduction of chlor-alkali industry. In this research, the seed reactor is used in production process of paste resin, mainly used for prepare two kinds of intermediate products in mixing polymerization process, namely as the seed latex (seed) and lauric acid gel (CD-2100).This research mainly studied the design of paste resin seed reactor, include the pressure vessel of reactor, type selection of mixing transmission and seal.The introduced in this thesis is the design of a 13.2m3 seed reactor. Its body is made of a stainless steel, which is a clad plates with outer layer of Q345R and inner layer of S30403. The surface of inside is treated with with mirror polishing technique to improve the smoothness of the inner wall and reduce the phenomenon of material paste to reactor.In the outside of eactor, 89 half-pipe welding jacket form is used to indirect heating or cooling the material inside of reactor, with high heat exchange rate of reaction.The mechanical variable stirring system of reactor mainly made up of an energy efficient motors (including frequency converter),gear reducer, clamp coupling, double-balanced mechanical seals, stainless steel stirring shaft and mitsuba sweepback mixer and other components.The attachment of reactor body with the lug support and quick open manhole design, together with the above-mentioned components and reactor body tubes constitute a paste resin seed reactor.
