The development of computer technology is not only reflected in the performance of hardware and software, its appearance, texture and structure has undergone tremendous changes. While the focus of lightweight design for laptops is the development of hardware technology, if the suitable high-strength lightweight materials can be choosed and the structure can be designed in a right way, the costs will be cut down. So it is very important for reducing the weight and improving the reliability of the laptop. Therefore, the static and dynamic characteristics of the laptop back cover are analyzed, and the lightweight design of laptop is researched.The following aspects of the research are carried out:The static analysis of the laptop is finished after simplifying the CAD model and creating the finite element model with the help of HyperMesh solftware. Related experiments are also designed to verify the accuracy of the finite element model. Studying the structure of laptop by analyzing the simulation and experimental results can provide guidance for the structure optimization-design.Study the possibility of using carbon fiber composite material instead of ABS material on a laptop from the perspective of mechanical analysis. CAE technology is used in the product design process, and the laptop of carbon fiber composite material is optimized by using free size optimization, size optimization combined with sequence optimization. The optimization model of carbon fiber composite material laptop is established, the back cover is optimized.Research on the Carbon fiber reinforcement technology is carried out. Study the characteristics and principles of Carbon fiber reinforcement technology, and analyze the effects of different methods about reinforcement with the help of RADIOSS solftware. Comparison of steel reinforcement and Carbon fiber reinforcement is carried out. The experiment is designed to verify the methods, and the simulation results are also compared with its experimental results.Study the dynamic characteristics of the above-mentioned different designs of laptop. Modal characteristics of the different laptop back cover are studied through computer simulation combined with experimental method, and their natural frequency and vibration mode are compared. The response of laptop back cover under the excitation of 128g,2ms half sine acceleration is analyzed through computer simulation.
