Preliminary Research On Thermal Comfort And Cleanliness Of Surgical Gowns

The surgical gowns are important medium between medical staff and environment system of operating room,especially during high intensity surgery,the thermal and moisture transmission capacity become increasingly important.At the same time,surgical gowns are key link for creating aseptic operation area,isolation between medical staff and surgical site of patients.Surgical gowns can reduce the pollution in the process of operation.Terefore,the better cleanliness of surgical gowns can reduce the postoperative complications and surgical infection rates,improve the quality of the survival of patients and promote the smooth development in the field of surgical trauma surgery technology.First,the project used subjective evaluation method for surgical gowns used by medical staff working in 3 top three hospitals.Then,using the method of Sweating Manikin,measures thermal resistence and moisture permeability of the surgical gown.Using the environment of operating room and metabolism of medical staff,calculat the PMV of medical staff,which is close to the result of subjective evaluation.So,the author thinks that the method of Sweating Manikin can predict thermal sensation of medical staff accurately.In the end,through simulation experiment method,testing the performance of cleanliness of the surgical gowns and compared with the dynamic operation process,verify the feasibility of the simulation experiment.By comparison with other research results,we found that simulation method to get the concentration of dust particles and becteria colony number is close to the number in the process of actual operation.which illustrates the simulation method in the process of dynamic operation of dust particle concentration and the number of bacterial colonies to forecast is feasible.In this way,the surgical gown in the process of the development and improvement in the future,can test surgical gown performance of cleanliness through simulation method of testing.
