In traditional diamond abrasive wheels, matrix unites do not bond well with the diamonds, which makes it very easy for the diamonds grains to fall off and for the abrasive wheels to lose efficacy. This article aim at those disadvantages, finished metallization processing on the surface of the diamond grains with high-temperature brazing technology(pre-brazing process for the diamonds) and produced pre-brazing diamonds abrasive wheels. Analyzed the influence of the pre-brazing surface to the stress value and stress distribution of the matrix unites with simulation models in ANSYS. Finished the working performance experiments of the pre-brazing diamond abrasive wheels, and found the working performance rules which are consistent with the simulation results.The details of the work finished in this article are as follows:(1) Made pre-brazing diamonds with Cu-Sn-Ti metal and found the best weight increasing coefficient by compressive strength test and bending strength test. Made pre-brazing diamonds with Ni-Cr(mixed with Cu-Ce) metal and found 30% is the best content of Ni-Cr metal by compressive strength test. Analyzed the surface of the pre-brazing diamond with XRD and SEM, and researched the phase and carbide thickness rule.(2) Designed the making process of the pre-brazing diamond abrasive wheels, produced some abrasive wheels with the pre-brazing diamonds.(3) Using ANSYS simulation, analyzed the influence of diamond concentration, pre-brazing surface type, pre-brazing thickness and diamonds exposure ratio on the stress value and stress distribution rules of the matrix unite when it is on working.(4) Finished working performance experiment of the different diamond abrasive wheels. Analyzed the influence of diamond concentration, pre-brazing thickness and pre-brazing surface type on the sharpness and life of the diamond abrasive wheel.
