Iron and steel industry is the important pillar industry of national economy, as well as the traditional energy intensive and high pollution industry, the energy consumption accounts for about 15% of China's total energy consumption. At present, China's steel industry energy efficiency coMPared with the international advanced level there is still a large gap, in particular the low level of energy utilization of the small or medium steel enterprises. Research for this paper is suitable for the energy saving technology of the steel industry, especially for the waste heat recycling and electricity saving in the small or medium iron and steel enterprises. The main work and contributions are as follows:(1) This paper analyzes the present situation of energy-efficient for iron and steel industry, from which the level of energy efficiency of China's iron and steel enterprises is lower than the foreign advanced enterprises, particularly the low recovery rate of waste heat and energy, there is huge potential for energy savings.(2) From the aspect, characteristics, the use condition and object, etc., this paper study and analysis on the energy-saving technology of China's iron and steel enterprises, focusing on technologies for waste heat recycling and electricity saving.(3) This paper study the application of waste heat recycling and electricity saving technology in an iron and steel production process. It brings significant energy savings and economic benefits.(4) According to the characteristics of the production technology and can use complex system in iron and steel enterprises, based on the energy-saving technology project implementation process, this paper presents "The main parameter calculation and selection of process equipment, converter gas recycling scheme coMParison, billet hot charging rate and benefit analysis, energy test" and other methods,which can be used as a kind for important reference in the similar project.In this paper, the iron and steel industry energy saving technologies are studied from the aspects of theory and application, especially the technology of waste heat recycling and electricity saving, which can provide technical support and important reference for t energy reduction, especially energy-saving technological transformation in small or medium iron and steel enterprises.
