Energy-saving and emission reduction in the manufacturing sector is an important way to sustainable development. The machine tool is an important part of energy consumption equipment in the manufacturing sector. The number of machine tool in China is the world's first, and the machine tools consumes lots of power, but the energy utilization ratio is very low. So, reducing the energy consumption of the machine tools is an effective way to achieve energy saving and emissions reduction in China. Due to machining cutting factors such as cutting waiting, empty cutting and so on, the NC machine tools waste a lot of energy in the NC machine tools running process. So, how to reduce the energy consumption of the NC machine tool in the running process has become the one of the problems that need to be solved in the process of implementation energy saving and emission reduction. The current researches about reducing the energy consumption of NC machine tool running process mainly formulate energy-saving methods for machining intervals and process intervals with certain length of time. But, the researches of energy-saving methods for the whole machine tool running process with multiple energy sources, multiple running states and complicated energy consumption features are very lacked. So, this paper put forward an energy-saving method based on closing and opening of components for the NC machine tool running process with multiple energy sources, multiple running states and complicated energy consumption features. And a support system has been developed based on this energy-saving method. In this paper, the research content mainly includes the following several parts:First of all, this paper analysed the NC machine tool running process energy consumption features based on the NC machine tool multiple energy sources, multiple running states, further, proposed an energy-saving method framework based on closing and opening of components for the NC machine tool running process. At first, the NC machine tool running process was divided into processing interval and machining stage according to presence of work-piece cutting, and then the energy consumption characteristics of processing interval and machining stage were respectively analysed, and based on this, the energy-saving methods of processing interval and machining stage were proposed in this energy-saving method framework.Then, based on the energy-saving method framework, respectively oriented for processing interval and machining stage in the NC machine tool running process, the NC machine tools energy-saving method for random processing interval and the energy-saving method based NC code parsing for machining stage were put forward. The research process of NC machine tools energy-saving method for random processing interval was as follow: first of all, establish energy consumption model of processing interval; Then, formulate the energy-saving method based on this consumption model; At last, verify the application effect of this energy-saving method. The research process of the energy-saving method based NC code parsing for machining stage was as follow: first of all, obtain the NC machine tool and components running information by NC code parsing; Then, analyse energy saving potential by integrating with energy consumption model of cutting stage; At last, formulate the energy-saving method for the cutting stage.Finally, the support system was developed based on energy-saving method based on closing and opening of components for the NC machine tool running process. First of all, the architecture and function module of this support system were designed; Then this support system was developed in Qt language; At last, energy saving effect of the energy saving method for machining stage was displayed through the running case of this support system, and the system validity was verified at the same time.
