Under the background of china's manufacturing 2025 and industry 4, manufacturing will continue to be an important point of development, lean production is the foundation of digital manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, therefore, lean production is an important foundation for the development of manufacturing industry. Lean production management is a kind of advanced management mode which is considered the best by industry, lean production is mainly through the elimination of all kinds of waste, Through the continuous improvement of product quality, reduce production cost, shorten product delivery, improve the comprehensive utilization rate of enterprises. With the continuous improvement of manufacturing industry, lean production is a kind of mode of production which must be chosen and experienced in the development of enterprises.The implementation of lean production has been involved in many industries, including machinery, electronics, aviation and so on, and has achieved some success in the corresponding field. Casting industry as the main body,this paper briefly expounds the origin, development and mutual relation of industry 4 and lean production, and discusses some theories and related techniques to implement lean production. CZcompany is a foundry enterprise, through the field research, CZ analysis and value flow chart analysis of SWOT, to verify the feasibility of the implementation of lean production in the foundry industry.Based on field research and the status of the company, the first use of 8s management and Kanban visual management of on-site production for rectification andput forward the corresponding improvement strategy; secondly, using SLP system layout design method, for the production layout re planning, saving the production area, and combined with the plant simulation and lean principles to the production line were analyzed, improve the balance rate of production line and verify the feasibility of the "flow" production; the pull type production to replace push type production, reduce inventory and shorten the production cycle; classification of raw materials inventory, reduce the cost of manpower and material resources; using ergonomics analysis and simulation, improve the utilization rate of equipment and personnel. To provide some guidance for enterprises to implement lean production.Finally, some problems and deficiencies of the thesis are summarized, and the future trends, lean production is used in this paper can provide some reference for the manufacturing enterprises of the same type.
