It is most significant to have a stable and reliable power supervision and control system,which improve the power management level and promote the high production and high efficiency colliery construction. Owing to the slow response, low stability, insufficient control functionality of existing power supervision and control system in domestic collieries, an integrated software and hardware platform is designed. The design of power system in Nalinhe No2. colliery is considered together with the complete automation system, which is based on the 1000 M industrial Ethernet Ring Network. With the optimized design of the power system, the robust platform is established with simplified system, reliable control and easy maintenance features for the power supervision and control system. The selection of one intelligent protection device for explosion-proof switchgear is decided, and the communication protocol of RS485 for the system is unified, so the problems on information transmission between power supervision substation and high/low voltage distribution device,combined switchgear, high/low voltage switchgear on the movable transformer, lightning switchgear is solved. After studied on the domestic supervision and control software, the power supervision and control substation with six channel of 485 RTU interface is applied,and each 485 RTU interface connect with less than 10 intelligent protection devices. From the software design viewpoint, the control command has the top priority to transmit, which lead to fast response speed of power supervision and control system. Now the designed power supervision and control system has been put into operation, the underground distribution room equipment has realized the remote control and manless operation functions. The performance of power system described here has greatly improved in comparison with traditional control system, with regard to the aspects as reliability, real time and accuracy.
