As an important staple food and raw material,rice is related to human health.Quality and safety traceability of agricultural products are widely used abroad.However it is preliminarily explored and researched in China and the main research object is animal products.Systematical researches of rice quality and safety traceability have not been reported.In this study,rice supply chain was analyzed based on field and market research,national standards,and quality and safety system.We used radio frequency identification and 2-dimension barcode recognition to develop different quality and safety traceability system of rice for farms and rice processing industry.Main are as follows:(1)Research on planting base of Jiangsu Farms Agribusiness,granaries,Jiangsu Tianyue rice processing plant and terminal sales like Carrefour and Suguo was made.Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Table of rice supply chain was developed.By analyzing national standards for rice,rice quality and safety traceability database,which provides data support for the rice quality and safety traceability system,was built.(2)An RFID system suitable for China was developed for rice quality and safety control.Based on the traceability database,the rice safety and quality traceability system was built which achieved the following functions:increase,dele,query and modify in the dynamic database.The RFID device was integrated to rice quality and safety traceability system to achieve automation of traceability information gathering.The system was used for enterprises of large scale,with high automation but higher cost.(3)A rice quality and safety traceability system with low cost and high portability based on two-dimension barcode recognition was developed.The system included two parts:a generating two-dimension code system of the product information based on the composite structure of C/S,and a recognizing two-dimension code system based on Android cell-phones.It was used for enterprises of small scale,with less cost but incomplete quality and safety information.(4)A rice quality and safety traceability system based on RFID and two-dimension code recognition was developed.RFID was used in panting,storing and processing,two-dimension barcode in currency and sales.It can improve efficiency and economic benefits by the combination of the two recognition techniques.The system was used for traceability of medium scale enterprises and consumers.
