Research On The Management Of Rural Household Waste In Yongjia County

With the development of the rural economy and the improvement of the living standard of the peasants, the number of rural household waste increases fast. The environmental problems caused by household waste increase prominently, which restrict the construction of new socialistic countryside and overall well-off society. At present, the problem of rural household waste has reached an important point of governance. Compared with the city, the harmless treatment rate of rural household waste is low, and the treatment is not standardized. The impact of rural household waste is not only exerted on the living environment of peasants, but also on the soil and water, and even on the growth of crops and the health conditions of the peasants. Treatment of rural household waste has becomes the focus of the work of government departments and the focus of social concern.This paper selects Yongjia County of Zhejiang Province as the research object, using the method of field investigation, questionnaire survey and the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Through on-site visits to some villages in Xunzhai, a small town selected in Yongjia, the present status of the management of rural household waste in Yongjia County is seen clearly. Then the analysis of the existing problems on the management of rural household waste is carried out. And the analysis of the reasons for the problems of rural household waste is presented from the following aspects, the environmental awareness, technical support, capital investment, supervision and management. Finally, the countermeasures on the management of rural household waste in Yongjia County are put forward. That is, to strengthen publicity and education, enhance the enthusiasm of the peasants to participate in the household waste management; strengthen environmental infrastructure construction, effectively ensure the household waste disposal; use innovative technological means, improve the level of waste disposal; establish a sound institutional mechanism to improve the standardization and institutionalization of the rural household waste management; strengthen the supervision and management, promote the management of rural household waste.
