The modernization of industry needs all kinds of equipment and facilities including high-end CNC machine tools that their performance,quality and ownership have become the measure of the country industrialization level and the comprehensive national strength important symbol.Linear rolling guide is the key parts of CNC machine tools for the shorter and shorter research and development cycle,so it is high time that the linear rolling guide was effectively designed and optimized in the field of industry.Under the funding of the national science and technology major projects(2012ZX04002-013),we developed a three-dimensional rapid model and simulation platform of linear rolling guide and studied static stiffness and dynamic stiffness under the actual conditions of linear rolling guide for optimizing structure.The work we do is of great important to improve comprehensive performance and shorten the development period.The details are as follows,1)Based on a large amount of relevant literature both at home and abroad,we summarized present domestic and foreign situation about building the stiffness model of linear rolling guide and the way of building studying rapid modeling and simulation platform.2)Based on the selection process of linear rolling guide,we built a rapid customer-oriented and designer-oriented modeling system and the human-computer interaction interface at which three-dimensional model can be driven by structural parameters.So it would shorten the development period of linear rolling guide and improve the working efficiency of researcher.3)We analyzed the static stiffness of the linear rolling guide based on the rapid modeling& simulation platform and the finite element software Workbench.the main factors that influence the static stiffness of the roller linear guide are analyzed and verified by the simulation result of the Workbench and the linear guide static stiffness experiment result.4)We analyzed the dynamic stiffness of the linear rolling guide by using the model building from rapid modeling and simulation platform and simulated by using the finite element software Workbench.The vibration mode and natural frequency of the linear rolling guide at different position were analyzed.It was shown that the result of the modal test can be verified by the simulation results from finite element software.5)We made an experiment design on the static stiffness of linear rolling guide based on the orthogonal experiment.The influence factors on the static stiffness such as the roller radius,the length of the roller and the material type were analyzed and the technical way to improve stiffness of roller linear guide was discussed.
