As one of the key projects in 8th Five-Year Plan,Cold Rolling Plant of Benxi Steel Group was established by using foreign investment in 1994.Galvanized production line is an important part of Cold Rolling Plant of Benxi Steel Group.Under the condition of fierce competition in the steel market,like all the other manufacture-oriented enterprises,how to produce high-quality products with reducing cost is the key issue of Galvanized production line of Benxi Steel Group Cold Rolling Plant.The throughput and quality of final product are directly determined by three major methods,including: equipment maintenance and management improvement,equipment failure rate reduction,equipment stable operation.In order to achieve the purpose of equipment failure rate reduction,throughput and yield improvement,equipment maintenance project of Galvanized production line of Benxi Steel Group Cold Rolling Plant was investigated by applying Six Sigma management theory in this dissertation.It has great significance in enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises.The core idea of Six Sigma management is to establish the data analysis model through a set of statistical basis.Then,the purpose of finding and solving problem was achieved through data analysis.The Six Sigma management is a customer-oriented,data-based quality management methods.It is an effective way to improve the quality of enterprise process management.With the continuous development and progress of management,in order to solve specific problem in manufacturing by combining Six Sigma management method with equipment maintenance management knowledge,the academia and the business community has been constantly exploring and researching.Firstly,this dissertation demonstrated the research background,significance,situation and ideas,then systematically introduces the theoretical knowledge of equipment management,the theory of cold-rolling galvanizing and the theoretical knowledge of Six Sigma management,which lays a theoretical foundation for further analysis and research.Then,based on the previous theoretical investigation,the equipment failure mode is classified by analyzing the status of the equipment maintenance of Benxi Steel Group cold-rolling galvanized line.Finally,for the equipment maintenance status and failure mode of Benxi Steel Group cold-rolling galvanized line,based on the investigation of the equipment operation of the galvanized line,the Six Sigma management tools are used to define the main issues in the equipment maintenance of the galvanized production line by analyzing the definition,measurement and analysis of the failure data,then,effective methods are developed to clarify and evaluate the improvement and its effect,and finally,the procedures and achievements are standardized and maintained.Through the efforts,the project achieves a good tangible,intangible benefits and offers significant reference for the manufacture-oriented enterprises in the practice of equipment maintenance management.
