With the increasing demand of living standard,national consumption level keeps growing year after year.There is a big market of fashion purchasing build by 1.3 billion populations.In order to replenish the short supply of cotton fiber,a new type modified polyester fiber-Yilon fiber has been developed in textile market.For the sake of improving the hydroscopicity of Yilon fiber,the 100% Yilon knitted fabrics and Yilon/cotton blended fabrics with different blend ratio have been treated with dosages of alkali agent NaOH and accelerator 1227.Single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment have been carried out to determine the treating factors,such as: concentration of NaOH,temperature,time and liquor ratio.After treatment and testing,the results show that the optimal combination is 5%,80oC,40 min and 1:50.The end-use performance of Yilon fabric's wicking and drapery has improved,while tensile strength and antipilling have slightly decreased.Fabrics showed excellent colorfastness characteristic because of good interaction between dye stuff and surface of fabric.
