The Oil Pipeline Information System Based On ArcGIS And Flex

The rapid development and construction of oil pipeline makes its management and maintenance issues becoming increasingly outstanding.The tradiaional oil pipeline information managements methods relatively lag behind reality,whose backwards include cumbersome target lock,slow search way,and lack of auxiliary decision making functions for spatial anlyais.This leads to the difficulty to effectively manage and efficient service for more and large pipeline information resouces.Therefore,it is of great application value ro establish a oil pipeline information system oriented to user and managers,which can helps to realize the unified management,spatial analysis,and rapid release of oil pipeline information and provision of technical support and decision service for users.Aiming at the existing oil pipeline information management system needed in the Southwest of China,this master thesis,based on the ArcGIS and Flex technologies,designes and developes an oil pipeline information system,which is used for comprehensive management and analysis of the informations of oil pipeline and pipe information,the basic station,exposed floating pipe,across data,important buildings on both sides of the pipelines,landslide cliff,and pile point detection head.It will provide convenient data sharing,unified management,spatial analysis,and information relase services for the pipeline uses and managers.The main works are included as follows,(1)Data collection of oil pipeline vector data.The data collected in the Southwest of China include the information of oil pipeline and pipe information,the basic station,exposed floating pipe,across data,important buildings on both sides of the pipelines,landslide cliff,and pile point detection head.(2)Designment and implementation of oil pipeline database.According to different sources of oil pipeline vector data,it needs to have reasonable design storage process,unified data structure,corrdinate system,and projectin mode.This system manages the pipeline data basic spatial data by using the ArcSDE spatial data engine component and connecting the professional relationship database SQL Server.Due to most of the pipeline data being CAD format,it needs to solve the format conversion between the CAD and GIS data,and projection conversion between different data sources.(3)Designment and realization of oil pipeline information system.The main works include establishment of Flex application framework,study on the implement of GIS function on this platform,research on the logic of system function,the solution and implement for the system function,technical difficulties,and other problems,and the requirements for the feasibility of platform.According to the actual functional requirements,the oil pipeline information management system for the Southwest China is developed to achive the rapid release and sharing of the oil pipeline information.
