In May 2014,the State Council published “The Decision on speeding up the development of modern vocational education ”,many higher vocational colleges take this opportunity to deepen the reform of the teaching including teaching method,and strive to cultivate the high-quality skilled talents required by the society,in order to meet the different needs of all kinds of social unites.The project teaching method,which takes students,projects and practical experiences to as the center,has been widely recognized and popularized in the reform of teaching method in higher vocational college with its distinctive features.The projecting teaching is to improve students' overall ability;it is under the guidance of teachers,using the practical teaching content to make students to work as a team to work out the plans,being active in studying,and integrating knowledge and practical skills.This paper,on the base of totally understanding of project teaching method'theory,carried out the study with those theories and the NC machine tool programming and operation course which is the major in many higher vocational colleges as example.This paper has four parts,the first part mainly introduces the background,significance,literature review,the main content to study and studying method for project teaching method;The second part introduced the theoretical foundation of project teaching method;The third part has studied the application using in NC machine tool programming and operation course;The fourth part summarized and reconsidered the study thru the effect of the project teaching method used in NC machine tool programming and operation couse.
