With the expansion of the industry scale of the lotus seed and the reduction of rural surplus manpower,machining methods of lotus seed kernel core-removing replaced the manual methods has become the inevitable requirement for the development of lotus processing industry.However,the existing lotus seed kernel core-removing equipment caused the crush of lotus seed kernel in the process of removing the core is a common phenomenon,which affects not only the appearance and quality of lotus seed kernel but also the economic benefits of enterprises by increasing its processing losses.In order to explore the regulation of influence relevant factors in the process of crushing of lotus seed kernel and reduce the processing losses and improve the appearance and quality of lotus seed kernel,this paper researches on the compressive mechanics characteristics of the lotus seed kernel,the crushing rules,the peeling mechanism,parameter optimization of lotus seed kernel core removal.The specific research contents and achievements are as follows:1.Study on the Physical Characteristics of lotus seed kernel.The basic physical parameters such as water content and density of lotus seed kernel were measured;The relevant mechanical parameters about the crush of lotus seed kernel such as elastic modulus and compressive strength were measured,obtain the elasticity modulus is 19.10~203.78 MPa,compressive strength is 3.74~8.82 MPa,and found lotus seed kernel is anisotropic materials;The regression equation between the water content of lotus seed kernel and the parameters were established,provided the physical parameters for simulation analysis.2.Study on squeezing mechanism of lotus seed kernel.The crushing load ranges from 39.16 to 103.92 N were measured after 5 kinds of water content of lotus root were subjected to extrusion failure test.The cracks in the extrusion process were generated at both sides of the compression point and on both sides of the lotus seed kernel.By Ansys software,measured the stress and strain distributions of lotus seed kernel under the squeezing load,the extrude cracks produce position of lotus seed kernel by simulation and expanding regularity were basically the same with experiment results.Analyzed crushing mechanism of lotus seed kernel was consistent with the experimental results.3.Study on the Mechanism of Drilling Force and Peeling of lotus seed kernel.The axial force of the drill bit on lotus seed kernel was measured by drilling test,and the FZ-t curve under different drilling conditions was obtained;The results show that the FZ-t curve coincide with the experimental curve by using Advantage software to simulate the process of lotus seed kernel removal;The influence of the drilling process parameters on the axial force was analyzed.4.Study on Parameter Optimization Experiment of lotus seed kernel core removing machinery.The lotus kernel test bench was designed,single factor test and orthogonal test was carried out,the effects of various factors on the crush of lotus root were analyzed and the optimal combination of reducing the breakage rate of lotus seed kernel was determined as follows: the water content of lotus seed kernel is 7.78%,the drill diameter is 2.5mm,the roller gravity is 38 N,the drill feed rate is 20mm/s,the drill speed is 3000r/min,and the process parameters can provide the design basis for the research and development of the lotus seed kernel core removing equipment.
