Adding bittern into betel-nut is an important process in the processing of betel-nut,the quality of which directly affects the taste and flavor of betel-nut.It is difficult to accurately locate the betel-nut,because of its irregular shape and various sizes.As a result,for a long time,adding bittern into betel-nut is completed by manual operation,which costs high labor intensity but has low production efficiency and some hidden health hazard.With the expansion of market scale and the decrease of rural surplus labor,the traditional way can not meet the requirements of production of betel-nut in modern days any more.In order to realize the mechanization and automation of adding bittern into betel-nut,this paper intends to develop an automatic divice for adding bittern into betel-nut by researching the key problems such as the automatic orientation of betel-nut and automatic adding bittern,to promote the automatic processing industry of betel-nut.The specific research contents are as follows:1.Reasearch on morphological and physical properties of betel-nut.The experiment measured the geometries of betel-nut slice(core has removed),including length,width,height,shell thickness,maximum span.Through numerous other experiments,we measured the physical characteristics of betel-net include density,static friction coefficient,moisture content,which provide physical parameters for positioning and simulation of adding bittern into betel-nut.2.In this paper,a new method is put forward to locate betel-nut with static pressure air flotation.Based on the principle of minimum potential energy and the characteristics of V block centering,a V-shape air floating positioning device with a large number of micro holes on the working surface is designed;the turning process of betel-nut with various postures under the action of gas buoyancy is analyzed,which can meet the basic condition of betel-nut's cutting-face up;FLUENT software is used to simulate the gas flow field of betel-nut air flotation,which verifies the feasibility of the air flotation positioning scheme.3.Experimental air floating positioning device of betel-nut is designed to do the experiment.The influencial rules of influencial parameters such as gas pressure,orifice diameter and V-type angle were analyzed by orthogonal test;It is determined that the optimum parameters of the process are: Intake pressure 0.2Mpa,orifice diameter 0.8mm,V-type angle 110°.4.The prototype of adding bittern into betel-nut was designed,including the detailed design of feeding device,aerostatic positioning device,mechanical champ mechanism,vertical elevator,adding bittern into betel-nut mechanism.3D model and assembly of adding bittern into betel-nut device was built by Siemens NX8.0 platform,including selection calculation of electric components,drawn of pneumatic control loop and writing PLC control program.5.The manufacture and commissioning of prototype was completed.Based on the developed prototype,auto adding bittern into betel-nut experiment was carried out,and the results were satisfactory.The qualified rate was 80.3%,which verified the feasibility of critical techniques and methods.
