Study And Comparation On The Color Fastness Standards Relating To Care Labelling Of Home And Abroad

China has a large export volume of textiles and garments.Manufacturers and testers must know about the difference between domestic and foreign textile standards.Otherwise,it may affect the sale of textile products owing to the test failure of overseas technical regulations or standards.It also serves for the improvement and perfection of Chinese standards.In this paper,the changes and development of care labellings at home and abroad are examined in depth,and the symbols and application of care labellings are introduced.And it will be used as a reference for correct identification of care labellings.This paper focuses on the analysis of the difference in test conditions among the color fastness standards relating to the care labelling in different standard systems,mainly about colour fastness to domestic and commercial laundering,colour fastness to bleaching: hypochlorite,colour fastness to non-chlorite bleaching,colour fastness to dry cleaning.Comparison and analysis of different standards for the same color fastness are conducted.And the similarities and differences of ISO,GB,JIS,AATCC standards are analysed.The effect of test conditions on the results is discussed.There is difference between the test results of color fastness standards at home and abroad,the results as follows:The ISO,GB and JIS standards of color fastness to domestic and commercial laundering are tested with single-fiber adjacent fabrics.The results are subject to numerical grey scale rating and instrumental rating.The results demonstrate that the ratings for the change in colour of the specimens in three standards are with high similarity and the deviations of the ratings for staining are not exceeding 0.5 grade.JIS is more stringent than ISO and GB.The result of numerical grey scale rating is larger than the instrumental rating of 0.5 grade.The ISO,GB and JIS standards of color fastness to domestic and commercial laundering are tested with multifiber adjacent fabrics.The results show that the ratings for the change in colour of the specimens and the ratings for staining in three standards are with high similarity and the deviations of the ratings are not exceeding 0.5 grade.JIS is more stringent than ISO and GB.The deviations of the ratings for the change in colour of the specimens in ISO,GB,AATCC standard are not exceeding 0.5 grade.AATCC is more stringent than ISO and GB.ISO and GB standards were tested with ECE detergent containing phosphates and AATCC 1993 standard reference detergent WOB.The results demonstrate that two detergents have roughly equal effect on the washing of textiles.Detergents have little effect on test results.AATCC 61 are tested with AATCC 1993 standard reference detergent WOB and AATCC 1993 standard reference detergent.The ratings for the change in colour of the specimens of two detergents are identical.And the ratings for staining of two detergents are the same in large part.The colour fastness to domestic and commercial laundering standard of GB are tested with single-fiber adjacent fabrics and multifiber adjacent fabrics.A certain proportion of the samples with two fabrics are identical.Other ratings with single-fiber adjacent fabrics are higher than the multifiber.The test results with multifiber are relatively strict.The test results of colour fastness to bleaching: Hypochlorite of ISO,GB and JIS are with high similarity.The deviations of the ratings for change in colour of the specimens are not exceeding 0.5 grade.The test results of AATCC are less than the others.It is relatively strict.The ratings for change in colour of the specimen of colour fastness to non-chlorite bleaching of ISO are larger than AATCC.The test method of AATCC is more stringent than ISOThe ratings for change in colour of the colour fastness to dry cleaning of ISO,GB,JIS,AATCC are identical.Most deviation of ratings for staining of the four standards are not exceeding 0.5 grade.The test results of some specimens in JIS standard are lower than the others.The colour fastness to dry cleaning of GB is tested with single-fiber adjacent fabrics and multifiber adjacent fabrics.Half of the test results with two types of adjacent fabrics are the same.The number of single-fiber adjacent fabrics results larger than multifiber adjacent fabrics is the same with the number of the multifiber adjacent fabrics higher than single-fiber adjacent fabrics.
