Superfine fiber is a kind of differential fiber which developed rapidly. Because of its monofilament linear density is so far lower than the ordinary fiber that it is deeply loved by people for its more excellent performance. But the lower linear density and the bigger specific surface area make the light easily penetrate to the fabric and damage the dyes structure, resulting in a decline of color fastness to light and influencing its aesthetics and practicability. Therefore, it is important to improve the color fastness to light for the superfine fiber fabrics. This paper was mainly screening out fast disperse dye to replace the ordinary, choosing suitable light stabilizers and dyeing with fast disperse dye in one bath for superfine fiber fabrics, researching the dispersing performance and dyeing properties for superfine fiber of the light stabilizer and the effect on the properties and the improvement of color fastness to light in one bath dyeing, eventually to improve the color fastness to light for superfine fiber fabrics.Light stabilizer is hydrophobic compounds. It’s more difficult to be used in dyeing and finishing process. The paper used dispersant and surfactant to prepare the uniform and stable light stabilizer aqueous dispersion in a ball mill. Study found that the dispersion stability was best, particle size distribution was uniform and it had good compatibility with disperse dye when the anionic dispersant DPL and nonionic surfactant nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether NP-10 compound ratio of 1:2, the amount is 25% of light stabilizer quality, and ball mill more than 5 h. After the preliminary screening, hindered amine light stabilizer LS-622 with worst dispersion stability, should not be used in one bath dyeing with disperse dye; UV absorber UV-531, UV-328 and UV-P and hindered amine light stabilizer LS-770 dispersed stably after ball mill.By studying the UV absorber separate dyeing performance for the superfine fiber fabrics showed that, UV absorber was affinity to superfine fiber with high dyeing rate, its adsorption diffusion followed the free volume model, and the dyeing mechanism was similar to disperse dyes on polyester fibers. It was feasible to dyeing in one bath for superfine fiber fabrics with UV absorber and fast disperse dye.The dyeing dynamics of three UV absorbers for superfine fiber showed that the UV-531 with simple structure had high uptake rate and equilibrium adsorption quantity; the UV-P with small molecular weight dyed faster, with shorter half dyeing time and bigger diffusion coefficient; and the UV-328 with complicated structure dyed slowly, the dyeing rate was low as well; the equilibrium adsorption quantity of UV absorbers on polyester polyamide superfine fiber was lower than on the polyester superfine fiber. The interaction between light stabilizer and fast disperse dye in the one bath dyeing process was discussed via the changes of the two uptake rate, K/S value, shade, the dyeing uniformity and fastness to light, and the influence of dosage, complex ratio, temperature and time in the dyeing process was analyzed. The experiment showed that the uptake of dyes and light stabilizer in one-bath dyeing had a slight decrease compared to dyeing with single dye or light stabilizer, which indicated that a competition between the two occurred. Light stabilizer had little effect on shade and the dyeing uniformity and could improve the fastness to light to some extent, and UV-531 was the best. When the UV absorber UV-531 and hindered amine light stabilizer LS-770 in the compound ratio of 2:1, the dosage was 2.0%(o.w.f), the dyeing temperature was 130℃ and holding for 30 min, the improving effect of the fastness was the best.Fast disperse dye can improve color fastness to light comparing with ordinary disperse dye; color fastness to light of dyeing fabric had increased in different degree after adding the light stabilizer. Dyeing with fast disperse dye was better than with ordinary disperse dye. When dyeing with complex light stabilizers it had significant improvement, and it was better than commercial anti-UV agent DM-3091,and with good washing resistance. The effect of light stabilizer for polyester microfiber fabric was better than polyester polyamide superfine fiber fabric.
