The wet comfort of summer women's fitting T-shirts was studied in this thesis.The foucus was on the water vapour transmission property of the air gap between the skin and T-shirt.In this thesis,13 kinds of common summer T-shirt knitted fabrics were selected.The water vapour permeability of the fabrics and the water vapour transferring property of the air gap under the fabrics were tested.The laws of the water vapour transmission property of the air gap between the water surface and the fabric changing with the air gap thickness(3mm,6mm,9mm,12 mm,15mm,18mm)and the fabric test area(diameters: 83 mm,87mm,97 mm 115mm)were investigated in detail when the water temperature was 20?.Based on this,3 kinds of knitted fabrics were selected from the aboved 13 kinds of fabrics.The laws of the water vapour transmission property of the air gap between the water surface and the fabrics changing with the air gap thickness and the fabric test area were investigated when the water temperature was 33?.The 3 kinds of knitted fabrics were made into women's fitting T-shirts with 4cm bustt ease and 9.5cm bust ease respectively,total 6 women's fitting T-shirts.Under ambient temperature(32±2)?,RH(60±5)% and air 0.1m/s conditions,6 subjects selected took part in the wear trials of the 6women's fitting T-shirts.The values of relative humidity of the air gap between the skin and the T-shirts and the subject's skin temperature were tested at breast and back respectively,and let subjects evaluate the feeling of heat,wet and comfort when they wearing experiment T-shirts.Based on the analysis of experimental results,the conclusion is as follows:(1)By testing the water vapor permeability of 13 kinds of fabrics,we can know that for the fabrics,composed by same fiber and having same structure,with the smaller thickness,vertical and horizontal density and less villus on surface had better water vapor permeability.(2)Through analyzed the test reloult by paired sample T test,found that in the case of same water temperature and test area,along with increase of the thickness of air layer,WVTR(Water Vapor Transmission Rate)and the percentage of WVTR is account for TMLR(Total Moisture Loss Rate)increased,WVTR was maximum when the air layer thickness was up to 15 mm.With water vapor continuously delivered to the external environment,the humidity around the moisture permeable cup became larger,and water vapor pressure difference between air gaps and environment became lower,so when the thickness of air layer was increased to 18 mm,WVTR has a slight decline.(3)Through analyzed the test reloult by paired sample T test,found that in the case of same water temperature and thickness of air layer,WVTR increased with the increase of test area.The reason is that with the increase of test area,the water evaporation rate increased,so would lead to WVTR increase.(4)When water temperature was 20?,due to the test area and the thickness of air layer would both affect WVTR,therefore fitting out the relationship model of WVTR with test area and thickness of air layer by Matlab system,the models were binary quadratic equation.(5)In the case of same test area and thickness of air layer,when the water temperature was 33?,the WVTR was greater than that when the water temperature was 20?.(6)In this thesis,Different T-shirts with the same fabric were made,their bust ease were 4cm and 9.5cm respectively.Through the wear trails fount that skin temperature and humidity under T-shirt in the breast and back of T-shirts with smaller bust ease were greater than that of T-shirts with larger bust ease.In the motion after 10 min,the average score value of heat feeling,and wet feeling of T-shirts with smaller bust ease was bigger than the value of T-shirts with larger bust ease,but the average score value of comfort feeling was smaller than the value of T-shirts with larger bust ease.During experiment,while the average score value of T-shirts with different bust ease made by 6 subjects has a certain difference,but there was no significant difference in statistics.
