Centerless lathe is a kind of processing equipment for cutting metal bars with high efficiency.It is mainly used for cutting the outer circle of the metal bar to obtain high surface roughness and high straightness of metal bars.In recent years,centerless lathe is widely used for slender metal bar,and the guide mechanism is the key component of centerless lathe.In the process of rod turning,it has the function of supporting and clamping the bar,which directly affects the performance of centerless lathe's processing quality and efficiency.In this paper,the three-dimensional model of the guide mechanism of the centerless lathe was built in ADAMS and the motion simulation was carried out.At the same time,the weight of the bar was considered in the parametric modeling,besides the bending moment and the deflection of the bar are calculated by MATLAB.The flexible body of the guide mechanism was obtained in ANSYS,then the cutting process was simulated by ADMAS to get the acceleration of the key position,and the vibration of the bar is studied.Finally,the correctness of the theory is verified by experiments.The results obtained in this paper provide the basis for the experiment,manufacture and design as well as performance improvement of the products.The specific research contents are as follows.(1)This paper introduced the research status and basic structure of centerless lathe,and introduced the research contents,working process and the problems needing attention in the research;(2)In order to get the track curve of the guide wheel and the clamping force curve of the guide mechanism,the three-dimensional model of the guide mechanism was established by using the ADMAS;(3)Parametric model of the guide mechanism was established.By changing the design parameters to solve the problem of the strain,so that the guide unit structure is more reasonable;(4)The motion characteristics of the guide mechanism of the centerless lathe was analyzed,and the acceleration of the key position of the flexible body was obtained.Besides the vibration displacement was obtained by MATLAB;(5)Set up the experimental platform to obtain the acceleration data of the key points on the guide mechanism in the process,the measured data were processed in MATLAB.The simulation data were compared with experimental data to verify the correctness of the simulation.
