Now,with the rapid development of science?technology and people's level of life,human beings are faced with lots of problems brought by the advance of society: natural resources,like minerals and water,are overused;many bodies of water,like rivers and lakes,are seriously polluted and damaged,which has threatened the sustainable development of humans' society.It has been the focus of human beings' attention that we should improve the utilization ratio of natural resources,save more energy,reduce more emission to protect our environment.Besides,we should avoid weakening environment benefits for the sake of economy benefits.At present,the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone is a SEZ that is featured with protecting environment and developing economy.In order to reach the goal of building this region into a national model base of ecological civilization,we must realize the significance of the research concerning eco-efficiency of mineral resources' exploitation in this zone.While,in order to achieve the aim of quantifying the realization degree of the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone's construction,we must use the method of ecological efficiency evaluating.Based on the fact that the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone is rich in mineral resources,this paper will analyze the ecological efficiency of mineral resources' exploitation in this region,which will be both theoretical significance and practical significance for the sustainable development of the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone.This paper follows the ecological efficiency theories,analyzes how to measure the ecological efficiency of mineral resources' exploitation in the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone.In this paper,an evaluation index system and an integral evaluation model with regard to the measurement of the ecological efficiency of mineral resources' exploitation in the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone are built to discuss the impact mineral resources' exploitation has on the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone,and several suggestions are proposed according to the evaluation outcome.These advices will do good to improving theenvironmental quality of the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone,and reinforcing the sound development of this region,thus succeeding to accomplish the goal of building Jiangxi Province into a model one of ecological civilization.This subject mainly researches five aspects: the first is that it summarizes theories about eco-efficiency to pave the way for follow-up evaluations;the second is that it collects lots of base materials about minerals in the Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone to make people not be strange to these concepts;the third is that it draws lessons from home and abroad to build an integrated eco-efficiency index system;the forth is that it chooses the best measures to study the project,so that we can see the current situation of eco-efficiency of minerals in this region;the fifth is that it gives targeted suggestions according to the evaluation outcome.
