4-2 coal seam of Zhangjiamao Coal Mine in Shengnan,area contains three dirt band of mud rock,the deformation failure of auxiliary transport roadway of 4-2 coal seam fully-mechanized face has a threat to safety mining. It has no clear understanding for deformational and destructive law of roadway surrounding rock of 4 2 coal seam at present,the roadway surrounding rock has not take effective support. It has important theoretical and practical significance to study the deformational and destructive law and support.This paper takes condition of roadway of 4-2 coal seam with mud rock in Zhangjiamao Coal Mine, through sampling in 14206 working face roadway roof and floor, coal seam and mud rock,the physical mechanical properties and parameters of surrounding rock are measured, the deformation and failure law of roadway with mud rock is mastered through the in-sit measured, Through comprehensive analysis, it is thought that the reason of auxiliary transport roadway deformation damage of 14206 working face is deformation pressure caused by water swelling of mudstone interlayer and loose pressure caused by mudstone softening.According to the limit equilibrium arch support theory of shallow buried coal seam,combining with the deformation feature of surrounding rock of 14206 working face,the model of the stability limit equilibrium arch of roadway with dirt band is established, and the limit balance arch height at the top of the roadway is concluded. According to the principle of"government roof important than working slope", through the effective control of surrounding rock, the height of the the steady equilibrium arch is controlled, and it can realize control of the whole surrounding rock of roadway; the key to control the distortion of roadway is controlling the coal pillar side of roadway with dirt band of mud rock which is influenced by mining, taking methods of the injection concrete material which has certain waterproof performance, and insulate the contact with water to prevent inflation, it can keep certain compressive ability, so as to maintain the integrity of the whole roadway .It tests the rationality of support parameters through numerical simulation. The engineering practice shows that it has a good result in roadway support.
