Tension leveling is a metal forming technology for correcting plate shape,breaking scales and improving material quality;its working princ iple is apply tension and bending on strip at the same time in order to obtain the p lastic extens ion,thereby eliminating the shape defects,stress defects and quality defects of strip,finally obtain products with excellent performance,as a consequence of this,tension leveler has been widely used in the strip production line.With the rapid development of manufacturing industry,there is a big gap between the domestic technology and the international advanced technology,extens ive technology is more and sophisticated technology is less;import technology is more and independent technology is less.So in order to propose further improvement requirements and make this technology to the direction of mature and perfect,there is a need for rigorous theoretical models and more experimental research in the field of tension leveling.This paper use self-designed 450 mm tension leveler as basis,establish perfect tension leveling process model by analyzing tension leveling princ iples and combining the control system process model,then different process routing are designed to carry out the tension leveling experiment,finally the influence of tension leveling parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of steel strip is studied.The main contents and research results of this paper are as follows :1.The method of calculating the offset,tension,screw down value and elongation of the neutral layer is determined precisely,the perfect and reliable tension leveling process model is established,which lay a good foundation of setting and control of process parameters.2.The tension leveling speed control model of s trip is established and the tension leveling model is improved.The control system of tension leveler is debugged to ensure the accurate control of elongation and the stable operation of equipment,and finally the control system is improved.3.The material property experiment is carried out to study the influence of different tension leveling parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of steel strip,the rule of strip performance with the change of process parameters are obtained,so the optimum range of parameters are determined,which provides a reference of process setting for improving the material properties.It can be seen from the above that the results of this paper have played a positive and beneficial role in enriching the tens ion leveling theory and promoting the tens ion leveling technology that improve the microstructure and properties of strip.It also shows that there are many issues in tension leveling technology need to be improved and it is necessary to continue to study.
