Research On Miao People's Cross-stitch In Guiyang Huaxi District Shi Ban Town

Cross-stitch is one of the traditional national folk handicrafts,belonging to a form of embroidery.In Guiyang,Miao People at Shi Ban Town,Hua Xi district is skillful at cross-stitch,which has unique national and local characteristics with various and colorful patterns through painstaking artisan craftsmanship and also has certain cultural and artistic value.The essay is dedicated to conduct a in-depth research on the cross-stitch made by local Miao People to discover its usage on redesign.Taking cross-stitch made by Miao People in Shi Ban town as research object,this essay conducts survey and study on the theme and form of cross-stitch pattern,the color of thread used and its matching,the techniques and knitting employed,the making process and cultural connotation.On the basis of artistic research and cultural analysis,the essay analyzes and reflects on the redesign of cross-stitch made by Miao People in Shi Ban Town.Based on the field investigation,the author went to Shi Ban Town to record and sort out the cross-stitch pattern and crafts and then systematically sorted and summarized it.In order to impel the inheritance and development of cross-stitch made by Miao People in Shi Ban Town,it should integrate with modern life and cater for modern aesthetics.During the survey,the author find that research on cross-stitch redesign is seldom conducted,and the room for development of redesign is large.Therefore,the research of its re-design is imperative.This essay puts forward views on the redesign of cross-stitch made by Miao People in Shi Ban Town.As for the redesign of cross-stitch,this article comes up a suggestion that Miao people in Shi Ban town should strengthen the creativity and cultural content represented in its cross-stitch and focus on the texture,fashion and the expansion of pattern's essence,In short,cross-stitch is the embodiment of national culture and the wisdom of Miao People who are living in Shi Ban Town.In its heritage and development,we should pay attention to its re-design.So that cross-stitch can better be integrated with modern life.
