| With the acceleration of human industrialization and urbanization,the growth of energy consumption accelerate,especially fossil fuels and other non-renewable energy,which results in increasing the contradiction among energy demand,economic development and natural environment.With the problem of environmental pollution mankind faced becoming more and more serious we have to face up to the current contradiction between economic development and environmental pollution.In recent years,the climate warming has received widespread attention from the international community.China’s construction industry,making a great contribution to the development of national economy,is a key area for energy saving because of severe carbon emissions.In recent years,while China’s economy is developing rapidly,we also face the problems of ecological destruction and resource depletion.At present,China’s energy-using technologies are relatively backward and the overall innovation capacity is not high.China’s economic development is constrained by low carbon,and need to increase energy-saving emission reduction and fundamentally change the trend of environmental pollution continued to deteriorate.A space pattern of energy-saving and environmental protection should be formed,which will lay the foundation for achieving the sustainable development of efficient,energy-saving and low carbon.The construction industry,as an important pillar industry of national economy in our country,has made positive contribution in stimulating domestic demand,absorbing surplus rural labor force,improving living environment and maintaining social stability.However,the construction industry is also a labor-intensive and resource-intensive industry,and has the problems of energy consumption,high pollution,low energy efficiency while promoting social and economic development,increasing employment opportunities and improving the living environment.The problems of energy consumption in the construction industry have drawn wide attention worldwide and are also a key area for implementing energy conservation and consumption reduction.Therefore,reasonably assessing the energy efficiency considering carbon emissions and understanding the status quo of energy saving and emission reduction in China’s construction industry,is important for improving the energy efficiency of China’s construction industry and improving the healthy and sustainable development of the construction industry.On the basis of analyzing the current situation of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in China’s construction industry,this paper puts energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions into energy efficiency analysis.It builds the evaluation index system of construction industry,and uses super-SBM model considering unexpected outputs to calculate the construction industry energy efficiency of 30 provinces of China from 2007 to 2014.Based on these,the panel data regression model is used to analyze the main influencing factors of energy efficiency of construction industry in China.The study results demonstrate that the energy efficiency of construction industry shows a year-on-year growth trend,regional energy efficiency is significantly different and shows the descending order from east to west.The energy efficiency of construction industry is high in Hainan,Zhejiang,Inner Mongolia,Guangxi and Beijing,however,Fujian,Shandong,Jiangxi,Guangdong,Hebei are lower.Per capita GDP,industrial development level,energy consumption structure,opening level and property rights structure have a significant impact on energy efficiency of construction industry in China,but the impact of industrial concentration and technological innovation are not obvious.Finally,this paper puts forward related recommendations to improve the energy efficiency of the construction industry,and promote the sustainable development of construction industry. |
