Environmental Risk Perception’s Influence Factors Research Of Urban Residents

Under the environment of risk society,the way people think about things will no longer be limited to "what I need",but "what I avoid"(Beck,2004),this change of thinking will have a huge impact on the social life.Therefore,people’s risk perception level will have more and more influence on people’s behavior decision.The study use the date of CSS2013 discusse the influence factors of urban residents’ environmental risk perception from four aspects(environmental disasters,information dissemination,economic conditions and institutional trust)and two levels(individual level,regional level).Results:First.The level of environmental risk perception of urban residents is at a moderately low level.Second.There are individual differences in the environmental risk perception of urban residents.The environmental risk perception of urban residents is not only different because of the individual’s own socio-demographic characteristics.The"living environment conditions","access to information" and "institutional trust levels" all have impacts on the perception of urban residents’ environmental risks.Third.There are regional differences in the environmental risk perception of urban residents.The "regional natural disasters","internet usage" and "per capita GDP level" all have impacts on the perception of urban residents’ environmental risks.Forth.The impact of individual differences on the environmental risk perception of urban residents is stronger than that of regional differences,especially the influence of "living environment conditions","access to information"and "institutional trust".
