China's motorcycle production had been promoted. User's requirement of motorcycle quality was constantly improving, including on riding comfort, etc. We used finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench to do the finite element analysis of motorcycle frame.Firstly, in this paper, we started from the study of the vibration of the motorcycle parts.Then we found out the reason of motorcycle vibration source. We found out the relation between vibration source, motorcycle vibration and ride comfort degree three. Then we put forward the main research scheme of this project.Secondly, we used Solidworks to establish the geometric model of motorcycle frame.And then we imported it into Workbench. The finite element model was established in Workbench environment. Then we analyzed the modal of the frame and got the corresponding vibration modes and natural frequencies. The text calculates the frequency and shake model of ten. Could be found in parts of the frame's vibration was obvious, that was the front vertical pipe connecting parts, inclined tube inclined tube parts and two small rear frame beam parts.We studied the specific frequency range of excitation resonance with the inherent frequency of the frame that may be rough pavement under random excitation and speed in the engine. We drew the conclusion: the factors of resonance and the frame was the engine excitation, the resonance frequency in the range of one to three order natural frequency of the frame, and surface motivation didn't set up resonance in frame.Considered the three cases: the engine inertia excitation mode, frame stress distribution,motorcycle subjective reflection of passengers. We proposed a suitable frame improvement scheme. We compared to the improved the dynamic characteristic of motorcycle frame, and found that the frame strength and stiffness, natural frequency was improved, reducing the chance of resonance 75%, and the comfort was improved obviously.The methods had been listed at this stage of the ride comfort evaluation. And then we selected the ISO2631 evaluation method combining with the subject content: the weighted RMS value method. Ride comfort were compared before and after the improvement of motorcycle. And we confirmed the comfort improving results at last. The data also verified the preliminary conclusion of the fifth chapter.
