As the important constituent of automobile rear axle, the main reducer has obviously influence on the vibration and noise of the chassis. The hypoid gear is the most important part of main reducer. The vibration characteristic of it affects transmission system's comfort directly in high speed and heavy load situation. The vibration and noise of china own brand is generally more serious than foreign brands. This leads noise pollution and energy loss. In the energy saving of global trend, the quasi dynamic characteristic of hypoid gear become focus paid by domestic and foreign researchers attention.The rear axle of a crossover this paper researched has large vibration and noise. The primary source of vibration and noise is from hypoid gear of main reducer. Under situation of dynamic excitation, gear system produces dynamic vibration response. Determine the type and nature of dynamic excitation through analysis of the dynamics coupling vibration of gear system. The internal excitation caused by tooth time-varying mesh stiffness, gear error, meshing impact and external excitation caused by engine and road resistance lead to various vibration influence each other and form a coupling effect. In order to study the effect of these factors on vibration of gear system, establish 12 degree of freedom dynamics differential equations of gear system by theory and method of mechanical dynamics. Get each part lumped mass, equivalent stiffness and equivalent damping by theoretical calculation and test. Continuous distributed parameter system is replaced by lumped parameter system. Solve dynamic coupling vibration differential equations of gear system by combined with dimensionless and Newmark-? numerical method. Get influence of tooth time-varying meshing stiffness, pressure angle and tooth backlash on vibration characteristic of gear system. At the same time, establish 3D entity model of the hypoid gear. Make simulation analysis verify theory analysis by Adams and Ansys. Get relationship tooth time-varying mesh stiffness, pressure angle and tooth backlash with vibration characteristic of hypoid gear. In order to verify theory analysis, make experiment about different tooth backlash of main reducer assembly by vibration tester developed by our research group. At the same time, make vehicle road test to verify the main reducer by portable test system. The main reducer is optimal in time-varying meshing stiffness, tooth backlash and pressure angle. The test verifies correctness of theory analysis and simulation.
