First Exploration Of The Strategy Of Relic Park Co-existing With Famous Historical And Cultural Village

China is a country rich in historical and cultural heritage. Along with the continuously promoted urbanization process, the protection of historical and cultural heritage will attract more and more attention. Relic park and famous historical and cultural village are two types of typical heritages in the concept of historical and cultural heritage. Currently there are many studies on the strategies related to the protection of relic park and famous historical and cultural village, but there’s comparatively less studies on the strategies of protecting interdependent relic park and famous historical and cultural village. It plays an important theoretical and practical significance in protecting the historical and cultural heritage in which co-exist multiple cultural subjects.In the interdependent state of relic with famous historical and cultural village, the respective original protection elements affect the protection element of each other under different condition because of the mutual effect existed, thereby forms the “co-existing” mechanism focusing on different elements, and the relevant protection strategy will be different from that in the state of separated from each other. The paper starts from analyzing the elements of protecting relic and famous historical and cultural village, discusses the space environment pattern, protection range, cultural line, building style and features and other “co-existing” elements and protection mechanism based on the interdependency of the two and proposes the relevant protection strategies. Meanwhile, it conducts empirical analysis by combining with the living example of the protection planning of Matoutan Relic Park in Dongxihu District of Wuhan City and famous historical and cultural village.
