The design of project item has become increasingly complex along with the development of urban construction, and the difficulty of project construction has also become larger, the construction industry is facing enormous challenges. Building information modeling(BIM) has been regarded as a crucial technology for addressing many problems in project construction, which has received wide attention globally. BIM is taken as the key scientific and technological plan of construction field during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. More and more construction enterprises and builders have gradually recognized the value brought by BIM, so BIM technology has been gradually promoted and tried out in China. However, the extensive application of BIM needs to be guided by standards. Compared with the foreign standard system of BIM which is relatively mature,the application of BIM in China is still in an environment without uniform standards.Therefore, it is necessary to build a standard system for BIM in China.Firstly, this thesis introduces the technological features and values of BIM, carrying out analysis of the application tools of BIM. Based on this, it focuses on the discussion of the features of information delivery under the current BIM technology, as well as the obstacles encountering during the delivery process. Through the research and analysis of the literature results of the delivery standards of BIM in foreign countries, combined with the research statues of related delivery standards of domestic BIM, it proposes a framework of standard system of BIM delivery. Meanwhile, combined with the detailed principles of foreign standards, it carries out comparison of content in the framework.Finally, based on the application of BIM in a tunnel project, it conducts design and construction for the delivery standard of the project.The study in this thesis finds that there is a greater gap with regard to the delivery standard of BIM between China and foreign countries. The formation of market-drivenstandard should be strengthened, improving the details and scope of standard implementation as soon as possible, improving the operability of standards; in terms of standard implementation details, the cooperation with international BIM software should be strengthened, while improving the research and development of local software, proving premise for the delivery pattern and scope of the standardization of project information;the units which are responsible for the formation of standard should launch a suitable implementation plan model for China as soon as possible, achieving the standard guidance of the organization way of BIM delivery data; in addition. China's standardization of BIM delivery data-checking mechanism is still quite lacking, which should be improved as soon as possible on the basis of the corresponding advanced experience in the world.
