In the city water pipeline network, aging and over pressure operation of pipelines cause serious leakage of water. One method of leakage detection is positioning the leakage point by pressure distribution of pipeline network which is based on pipeline network hydraulic model; Keeping pressure of pipeline network in appropriate level can be a way of leakage reduction. Both of them need to monitor the pressure level of whole pipeline network. In most of field, pressure measurement is accomplished manualy which is high cost and low efficient. At the same time, long distance electronic pressure instrument is gradually applied to measure the pressure of pipe network, but there are many problems of it, such as: not enough precision, inconvenient to manage the field data, high power consumption, lack of intellegce, inperfect data transmitting protocal.To solve above problems, an intellegent pressure instrument has been designed in this thesis. This intelligent pressure instrument can measure pressure and temperature, store data, transmit pressure data wirelessly, interact with human. In the course of pressure measurement, OEM silicon pressure sensor is excited by current source, then output signal of sensor is converted to digital signal by measurement circuit, last MCU read this digital signal via optocoupler. Pressure and temperature data is stored in format of FAT32 file system. According to the protocol of SMTP, all data will be sent to server in format of mail to sever by the TCP connection. To interact with human, application circuit has been designed and menu has been realized. Moreover, low power consumption, multi-perpheral MCU is used in the system. In order to reduce power and memory consumption, improve efficiency of system, software framework and task program are designed according to u C/OS-II's scheduling strategy.This intelligent pressure instrument can measure pressure and temperature, save data and send data to server which is a great support for the pipeline leakage deteaction and leakage reduction. But more jobs need to be done in the future, such as: collecting more types of data, riching transmission ways of data, further reducing power consumption, improving human-computer interaction.
