The Full Stochastic Fatigue Study For Shuttle Tanker Satisfied CSA-FLS2

As the shortage of oil resources, oil field exploitation gradually towards the deeper and harsh environment, the conventional oil tanker design you just need to meet the requirements of common structure rules, but with a bad working environment, the owner to ensure that the ship can work better in more bad environment, sometimes they want to add some additional requirements, such as structure strength, fatigue, etc. In this paper, based on a 152000 DWT shuttle tanker which built for a Norwegian ship owner, we introduces the related technical problems of hydrodynamic calculation, and research the calculation method to the additional class notation CSA-FLS2 of DNV classification society, and finally provides a result with detailed analysis, and made a proposed modification to the structure which are not satisfied to the requirement, finally complete the result evaluation.In this paper we have doing some research to the additional class notation CSA-FLS2, based on the research of the class notation we carried on the research of fatigue assessment method based on spectrum analysis. Quality model was established based on finite element modeling method, to determine the wave load computation, through the load transfer wave load is transferred to the finite element model of load, through the motion response of ships in waves and the load response according to the linear theory. Through the spectrum analysis on the whole process of the whole hull structure in finite element modeling filter, and then complete the ship structure fatigue evaluation, finally put forward revision plans to meet the requirements and the structure of the improved evaluation again, finally to meet the requirements of the additional class notation.According to the analysis of the CSA-FLS2 notation to the shuttle tanker, system research of the CSA-FLS2 influence on hull structure fatigue, introduced a complete evaluation method based on spectrum analysis method for evaluating the fatigue, hull fatigue analysis of the correlation of high reference value and guiding significance.
