Hydro-pneumatic suspension technology is the key technology in the design of the All terrain crane chassis. Hydro-pneumatic suspension technology is used in the 55 tons of All terrain crane chassis, and the higher energy density is obtained, so the weight of the suspension is greatly reduced. Each vehicle bridge can be in parallel and series of work, according to the actual working conditions to achieve load balance of each bridge; When the vehicle passes over obstacles, it can lift axle through adjusting the suspension height, all terrain crane chassis can also achieve all wheel steering and the crabbing; To modular design according to the needs of the vehicle, to increase or decrease the axle number;When crane in a short distance hanging lifting operation, it can also do rigid locking to the hydro-pneumatic suspension through hydraulic system.In this paper, a large number of technical data and documents of the hydro-pneumatic suspension are reviewed, and the characteristics and application of the technology are summarized based on the analysis of the basic characteristics of the suspension technology. Combined with the use of 55 tons of all terrain crane chassis, the general requirement for the design and layout of suspension system is given. Through static analysis to determine the wheelbase. combined with vehicle size and structure of the suspension system to determine the layout of the system, made reasonable structure design and working mode analysis of the hydro-pneumatic suspension, and finally, through the analysis of hydro-pneumatic suspension mathematical modeling and dynamic analysis, the preliminary determination of the key design parameters of hydro-pneumatic suspension. For the computer dynamic simulation of hydro-pneumatic suspension system, it is easy to adjust and control the hydro-pneumatic suspension parameters. The stiffness characteristics and damping characteristics of the hydro-pneumatic suspension are adjusted by setting the key parameters to improve the ride comfort, safety and comfort of vehicle.
