As a kind of friction transmission,steel belt transmission has been applied in many fields,such as food machinery,precision machinery,printing machinery,agricultural machinery and welding robot.High precision has been achieved in short distance steel belt transmission;however,many problems still exist in long distance transmission,the advantages of the transmission are not fully reflected,especially in precision transmission of large center distance and large load bearing.Based on the practical application of engineering,this paper analyzes the theory of long distance steel belt transmission,combines simulation and experiments,and studies the characteristics of long distance precision transmission.The paper started from Euler equation,analyzed the calculation method of pre tightening force,bending stress,sliding rate and transmission precision of steel belt transmission.And then,the paper adopted the analysis method of rigid-flexible coupling dynamics,combined with the dynamic modeling theory,established the mathematical model of the long distance steel belt transmission,including the rigid model of wheel and the flexible model of belt,by the analysis of the mathematical model of steel belt transmission,the paper got the equations of rigid flexible coupling dynamic,and the analysis provided the basis for the subsequent simulation of rigid flexible coupling dynamicsOn the basis of theoretical research,the 3D model of long distance steel belt transmission in 4.5m was established in Solid Edge,and the dynamic model was established in RecurDyn after model processing and contact parameters setting.The optimum pre tightening force of steel belt transmission,the characteristics of transmission precision and the stress of steel belt were analyzed under different load conditions,such as 0N?mm,5000N?mm,10000N?mm,15000N?mm,20000N?mm,25000N?mm,30000N?mm,the relationship between pre tightening force and load,the relationship between stress and load and the relationship between transmission precision was obtained.The research showed that the long distance steel belt transmission system can realize transmission of certain load and high precision,the pre tightening force,strain and stress,and the transmission precision had a certain relationship with the load.In order to verify the simulation results,a set of steel belt transmission test bench with large center distance was built,which had the functions of adjustable center distance,adjustable speed,adjustable and measurable load,adjustable and measurable pre tightening force and measurable transmission precision.At the same time,a real-time detection system was developed by using AT89C52 microcontroller and the corresponding data acquisition sensor,the parameters of rotation speed,pre tightening force and dynamic load were obtained.The relationship between the pre tightening force and load characteristics,the strain and the stress of the steel belt,the transmission precision,and so on,were studied in the experiment.By comparing and analyzing the experimental results with the simulation results,the fitting function of the effective pre tightening force of long distance steel belt transmission was obtained;some characteristics and dynamic parameters of steel belt transmission were proved and the analysis model of rigid-flexible coupling dynamics was fixed by experimental results.The results of this study will be helpful to parameter identification of long distance steel belt transmission in the direction of rigid-flexible coupling dynamics,and provide theory and experiment instruction for its application.
