Research On The Nationality Township Landscape Planning Of Tujia

Globalization has become a major feature of modern social life with the arrival of the 21 century. Cities and small towns, carriers of culture and material have been affected that their features and characteristics as the long-term developed cultural identities are disappeared step by step due to the similar spatial form, missing of architectural features and gradually weakened regional characteristics and cultural identity. Therefore, protection and continuation of ethnic culture and regional characteristics have become the purports of achieving the scientific connotation of the ethnic township development and “beautiful village” construction in the great tide of the construction of new type urbanization and “beautiful village”. In this context, relationship between township construction and characteristics continuation under the new situation has to be taken into account more for the characte ristics planning of ethnic towns in order to take the initiative to explore the new models of ethnic township characteristics planning, which will inevitably bring new opportunities and challenges for the development of the ethnic areas.The paper attempts to, combining with the theories related to narratology, discuss how to comb and guide the growing and evolutionary trend of the national township characteristics harmoniously and orderly while continuing the distinctive vitality of nation al culture and regional culture creatively in order to build a new type of ethnic towns with energy, cohesion, humanity and diversity by the case study of Tujia towns according to the basic study of ethnic township characteristics after summarizing the res ults of previous studies.The first part, a part of the basic study, discusses the research background; clarifies the research significance and purpose; introduces previous domestics and foreign researches on characteristics planning in the first place. Then it analyzes and summarizes the general cognitive system and system structure based on the concepts related to ethnic township characteristics it described; and figures out that being narrative and descriptive are main features of the ethnic township characteristics from the perspective of narratology. At last, it explains that the ethnic township characteristic is of a quaternary structure consisting of function, structure(time and space), language(plot and scene) and meaning.The second part is of strategy research, a key part of the paper. It analyzes the characteristics and features of Tujia ethnic towns from the aspect of their external spatial structure and internal cultural constitution. Then it proposes “narration”-oriented ethnic township characteristics planning mode and the narrative design strategy fit to such mode while exploring the long-acting security mechanism in favor of the implementation and management of characteristics planning in order to guide the characteristics construction of Tujia ethnic towns. The core idea of the mode is to comb and guide the coordination among each part of the ethnic township characteristic system and systematically link the explicit and connotative plot elements of the town by imputing inherent cultural properties into the material space carriers of the ethnic township characteristics to stimulate the ordered state in terms of its space, time, function and structure so that the ethnic township characteristics will be logic, integral and narrative in order to achieve the purpose of spreading the connotation of the ethnic township characteristics and features.The third part is the part of a case study taking the Huochang Tujia County as an example. Firstly, it analyzes and evaluates th e resources based on the investigation and dissects the root cause of the loss of the characteristics. And then it applies the theories related to the characteristics and narration to specific practical project of characteristic planning and come up with solutions for creating a distinctive national town.At last, it summarizes the research results of the pa per and puts forward its vision and shortcomings.
