Stormwater Landscape Design Based On Low Impact Development

The urbanization of China is developing at high speed,which not only brings convenience to people’s life,but also causes a number of problems for the ecological environment and human health.Nowadays,China faces the risk of water crisis, showing horrible situations like shortage of per capita water, uneven distribution, poor water quality, river shrinking.groundwater level descending and so on.However rainwater that is available resources with high quality and easy to obtain has been wasted because of poor management.sometimes it’s even a potential threat to urban safety. For the reflection on the above problems,a proposal called sponge city comes out, significantly contributing more experts to study on solution of urban stormwater as well as construction of low impact development(LID) stormwater system. It’s also the opportunity and bases of this article.This paper is based on low impact development concept and practice,and focuses on the construction methods of low impact development stormwater system and specific facilities in sponge city. So then ways to design stormwater landscape based on low-impact development are proposed.Meanwhile the paper summarizes the evaluation implementation after design.They are confirmed and learned by actual cases analysis on design, method, advantages and disadvantages. In a word this article is in order to provide more references to the landscape utilization of rainwater resources, the function integration of low impact development facilities and scientific design of rain landscape.Furthermore, this paper takes LID exhibition park in Qian-an as an example to specifically show how to apply the study results to an actual stormwater landscape design based on low impact development.
