With the rapid development of urbanization in our country, urban sprawl has caused damages to hydrological environment and aquatic habitat, imbalance between artificial environment and the original ecological environment, city faces floods drought, water pollution, water shortages, and a series of water ecological problems.In this paper, design strategies concerning to the rainwater utilization in urban parks with low-impact development was purposed, aimed at extending the management of rainwater utilization in our country from the perspective of city parks, promoting the rainwater utilization in urban parks, and assisting cities' sustainable development and the construction of sponge cities.This paper teases out the related theories of rainwater utilization in urban parks and sums the rainwater utilization up into 3 aspects, solving the rainwater runoff,restoring the water ecological system, and recycling the rainwater. We also construct rainwater utilization facilities in urban parks with low-impact development and summarize the key points in designing these facilities for contrast, by analysis on the stay and infiltration of rainwater, sewage purification, transmission, and storage process in rainwater utilization. From the perspective of park designing, parks at home and abroad under 4 development models were analyzed and then we find that the both natural development and development of urban culture should be included in the low-impact development, and different facilities/design should be included in the rainwater utilization. The classification of 4 kinds of urban park(new type park,transformational park, more new park, and block the open park) based on the culturally low-impact development, the divide of these various parks, and the key points in designing are also expounded.Combining empirical research on AiXiHu Lake wetlands, we study the field development modes, analyze the characteristics of the local natural conditions and culture, put forward design strategies and measures for AiXiHu Lake wetlands, and explore the different feasibilities of design for rainwater utilization in urban park with low-impact development.We conduct the researches on the design for rainwater utilization in urban park,in order to extend the design concept of practitioners, highlight the control of rainwater runoff, water environmental restoration, rainwater utilization, low-impact urban culture in design for rainwater utilization, then meet the demand of the sustainable development of the city, and thus promote the sponge cities.
