| With the increasingly serious energy situation, saving energy and reducing consumption has become urgent. Building energy consumption in the proportion of the total energy consumption is growing rapidly, reducing building energy consumption and saving the limited resources has become the main target of our research. The cooling load of Telecom room’s equipment is large. Once the cooling system stop working, Telecom room’s environment can’t meet the requirements immediately. So the air conditioning system usually runs at cooling mode in whole year and its cooling energy consumption is huge.This paper gives an introduction on dry and wet conditions’ computing methods of tower cooling based on the seniors’ research. The paper takes a Telecom room in Tianjin as an example, using eQUEST to simulate its cooling load of every hour in the whole year, and then calculates its cooling system’s energy consumption. Load produced by the enclosure structure have little impact on total load, and its impact on total load is bidirectional. When the temperature reached a certain condition, the enclosure structure’s load can contribute to reduce the total load. The equipment’s load is major load of Telecom room.On the basis of the original equipment only increasing a plate heat exchanger, the cooling tower can take the place of refrigerator for cooling when outdoor temperature meets the requirements. According to the cooling load, this paper calculates the exactly switched temperature of the cooling on dry and wet conditions. The cooling energy consumption of cooling tower and the amount of energy saving can be calculated by device’s power and using time.And the energy saving is 2462616(kW·h). By comparing different operation schemes, this paper finds the optimum one, and then promotes it to other 4 climate zones. The operation scheme’s cooling time and electricity consumption are given. Its practicability in other climate zones is discussed. Furthermore, because the design supply and return water temperatures is 7℃/12℃,that can satisfy most cooling needs, so other constructions which need cooling in the cold season can also benefit from the tower cooling. |
