At present,with the development of modern transportation,people have higher requirements to bituminous pavement performance.These requirements are mainly reflect in the following several aspects.Firstly,road should have higher pavement performance to deal with increasingly traffic volume and axle load.Secondly,With the development of environmental awareness,it is hoped that the discharge of heat and waste gas will be reduced sharply during the construction of HMA bituminous pavement.Thirdly,although pavement performance enhanced and emissions reduced,costs of asphalt pavement were to rise indistinctively.In such conditions,the bituminous mixtures which have good economic performance,pavement performance and environmental friendliness is focused by people.In order to make the bituminous mixture in accordance with these requirements,the first step should select additives.The selected material called Sasobit which have the advantage of reduce asphalt mixture construction temperature and easy to mix with asphalt.Unfortunately,with the addition of Sasobit,the low temperature anti-cracking performance of bituminous mixtures is deteriorated.In order to make up the loss of pavement performance,fiber are chosen to enhance the bituminous mixture.Glass fiber is selected as additive owing to have advantages of easily obtained,low cost,good mechanical properties,high-temperature performance,and so on.At present,the domestic market hasn't exclusive glass fiber use for bituminous pavement,not to mention the relevant norms.For evaluating the feasibility of glass fiber used in bituminous mixtures,refer to standard and research results,the evaluation method of glass fiber is put forward in this paper.Next,choose the Marshall method to molded specimen mold sample.However,the dispersity of glass fiber is poor in bituminous mixture.Therefore,this paper studies the dispersity of glass fiber,optimize glass fiber incorporation methods,and put forward a series of methods to test the dispersity of glass fiber in bituminous mixture.Again,based on corresponding pavement performance experiment,the work mechanism of fiber-Sasobit compound modifying bituminous mixture is analyzed.In addition,combined with the test results,the recommended glass fiber content in asphalt mixture is 0.2%.Finally,the compound modified asphalt mixtures simulated application in No.2 Danjing-tunnel.It is showed that the bituminous mixture not only has good pavement performance and environmental friendliness but also has a high performance-price ratio.
