Facing to the increasingly serious problem that the garbage surrounds the city, WTE(Waste-to-Energy) as the most effective treatment to processing and reducing garbage is maturing in decades of development. WTE is widely used in the eastern city of China to solving the problem of the shortage of waste disposal facilities caused by the rapid growth of population. This paper summarizes the design features and method of electrical system of WTE plant based on the investigations of electrical system design and control strategies of WTE plant.As to the continuity of WTE plant dealing with the waste and the reliability of supplying power to the important equipment just like the incinerator,the turbine,the generater and the feed water pump.This paper expounds the design principle of main wiring system in WTE plant, as well as the design idea of the whole plant load is supplied power according to different production line and the selection and power range of diesel generator which is treated as the third power. To selecting the equipment, this paper determine the maximum short-circuit of the system, according to calculate the short-circuit in the maximum and minimum operating mode. In this paper, The WTE plant in Dagang is analyzed in detail to describing the equipment selection and the distribution of indoor switchgear. The DC power supply system, the configuration of relay protection is described in WTE plant of Dagang, as well as the lightning protection and grounding, harmonic control, emergency power systems, architectural lighting and repair power, automatic fire alarm system. In this paper, the composition of DCS control system, hardware configuration and layout, control strategies of the major systems, equipment selection are mainly studied to describing the control strategies in WTE plant.
