Ship cabin layout is an important part of Ship general arrangement design, which can help reasonable utilization and allocation of space, and fully improve the utilization rate of the limited space of the ship and has direct influences on the efficiency of ship use?economical efficiency and safety. As one of the most important cabin engine cabin has many equipments.In addition to the need to improve the space utilization under the conditions of geometric constraints, but also to take into account the equipment and equipment, equipment and the hull of the mutual coordination, the layout of the engine room layout with performance constraints.This paper discusses the solution to the problem of the layout design of ship engine cabin. First of all, the paper summarizes the characteristics of the ship's engine cabin layout design and the relevant design rules and experience, and establishes the mathematical model of the ship's engine cabin layout design. The original mathematical model is improved, and the objective function is to add the personnel distribution distance and the control principle. Constraint condition besides the geometrical interference constraint, for equipment the functional characteristics of the engine, generator and auxiliary and bulkhead of the minimum distance requirements, their position added new constraints. Both single swarm intelligence algorithm or genetic algorithm in solving a problem more or less there are defects, which can be summarized as for the convergence rate slow, prone to local optimal solution, and it is difficult to satisfy all constraints and other defects. Due to the ship compartment layout problem belongs to the layout problem with performance constraints, calculation and engineering realization are more complex so simple to use an optimization algorithm to meet the computational efficiency and solution quality requirements. So the paper use based on a hybrid algorithm based on the genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm, and hybrid algorithm based on genetic algorithm and particle swarm algorithm, ant colony algorithm gradually to solution of ship compartment layout problem and two hybrid algorithm and traditional genetic algorithm solving process were compared.Results show that hybrid algorithm in solving ship compartment layout design problem is feasible and effective. And have great advantage in terms of computational accuracy, computational efficiency and numerical stability, which can be used for reference of designers, so as to improve the design efficiency.
