3C green substation as a high-end mode of intelligent substation, including two major weapon:3C technology and green technology.3C Technology:mainly uses the era of control technology (Control), communication technology (Communications), computer technology (Computer), and the first letter of three kinds of advanced technology, the main content of the communication protocol, intelligent, control network, information communication, advanced functional applications, while borrowing the meaning of 3C certification, in the construction of the mandatory implementation of the provisions. Green technology:mainly refers to the use of land saving, energy saving, water saving, material saving, protecting environment, reducing pollution,and other technical measures, and actively apply new technologies, new processes, new materials, new methods, etc., to achieve the green substation.In this paper, the design principle, main design technology, design features, design scheme, etc., and a practical example analysis of Southern Power Grid 3C green substation-220kV Pai Ling substation construction project are introduced. The main equipment selection, main design scheme, key technology application and economic comparison are analyzed. The application of the key technologies in the 3C green substation is demonstrated and studied in detail, such as the key technology of the Prefabricated cable, special-purpose slot-box for optical fiber cable, and the Figure mode integrated visualization integration design method. On the basis of the above research, this paper also points out the direction of future research and development.
