With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the subway as a convenient traffic tool is playing an increasingly important role in people's daily travel. At the same time, with the application of multimedia technology in modern train, the train communication network (TCN) transmits more and more data. Traditional TCN simply can't keep up with this trend. As the Ethernet has excellent performances in transmission rate and network bandwidth, it will be widely used in the TCN. As a core device in Ethernet communication network, the design of high performance train Ethernet switch is also becoming a new hot spot.In response to these needs above, this thesis designs a train Ethernet switch based on Zynq7010. It can not only provide multiple Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, but also the Fast Ethernet interfaces support POE function that meets the standard of IEEE802.3at. And it makes relevant Ethernet devices do not need separate power supply, thereby it improves the utilization efficiency of cabin space. In addition, this design also supports network management, IP routing and ring redundancy features. So that it makes the TCN management more convenient, running more stable and reliable.Firstly, this thesis introduces the general development situation of TCN and the features of train Ethernet switch and related technology, then according to the analysis of the the train Ethernet switch demand, this thesis proposes a design scheme based on Xilinx's processor Zynq7010 with ARM plus FPGA architecture, Ethernet switch chip 88E6097, POE power chips LTC4270 and LTC4271. Next, this thesis introduces the schematic design of the main function modules in detail, including main control chip circuit and its peripheral devices, Ethernet switching module circuit, POE power circuit and power module, etc. Whereafter, based on hardware circuitry and signal integrity knowledge, this thesis introduces the design and implementation of PCB. Afterwards, the thesis introduces the test work of function and performance and gives the analysis of the test results. At last, the conclusion is given and the future development of train Ethernet switch is discussed.
