Electric vehicles with great advantages of efficiency, low-emission and multi-energy have already become one of the most significant ways to solve the shortage of petroleum resource and the pollution of the environment. Nowadays, the technology or electric vehicles witnessed explosive development all around the world, companies have taken an active part in automotive field with brand new attitude by trying their best launching multiple types of electric vehicles. Long-distance running of the electric vehicles is in great demand, while the lack of charging piles and charging station along expressway and the suburban area, the cost and difficulty of power network renovation as well as the energy source have become the key restraint of its completion. This paper focusing on outdoor charging pile, designs an intelligent charging pile for electric vehicles powered by wind and solar energy.This paper mainly introduces the design process of outdoor charging pile, and based on the function categorizing it into three main areas:electrical power supply and storage unit, charger component and human interaction component. The electrical power supply and storage unit mainly consists of the commutation circuit of wind and solar energy, the main charging circuit, battery pack and MCU control unit, and respectively conducts economic analysis and choose the setting between wind energy and solar energy. The charger component consists of the main charging circuit, trigger control circuit, detection circuit and MCU control unit. Human interaction component consists of processor, display unit, internet communication interface and China Union Pay (CUP) equipment.Wind driven generator and solar energy equipment transform the natural energy into electric energy and storage the energy into the large capacity storage battery. The battery status of the electric vehicle can be motivated through the battery management system while the electric vehicle is charging. The charging status needs to be display properly on the charging generator, which indicating the charging generator selecting different intelligent charging technology it owns on the basis of the state of charge, sharply increasing the intelligence, reliability, security of the charging system. human interaction component are required to transform data to the cloud supporting the backstage supporter with data by connecting to 4G/5G network, and charging the users on the cloud via the toll collection system.All designs including the ways of power storage and battery charging, as well as its flow charts of the software, system hardware and parameter setting function are both reasonable and valid and have reached the design requirement.
