| To study the special environment of plateau area influence on drivers’ road safety, understand the drivers in plateau area, psychophysiological characteristics and driving characteristics change suitability of plateau highway drivers and plateau environment problem. It is necessary to explore between the drivers’ psychophysiological characteristics and driving mechanism, in order to evaluate the driver’s driving safety plateau highway.This study refers to research results of related fields at home and abroad, combined with driving suitability theory, using driving suitability test and inspection equipment, with the line G314 plateau section as the test section of the questionnaire survey and static test. Used questionnaire survey analysis the subjective feeling of drivers on the plateau environment. The static test equipment detects the static indicators at different altitudes drivers as disposal judgment, vision values, choice reaction time, etc. With SPSS software to analyze the correlation between driving characteristic parameters and influencing factors,and establish the dynamic linear model. Fuzzy clustering method for constructing fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, quantitative analysis of the plateau highway driving characteristic index data obtained driving characteristic index weighted fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model relationship, get driving characteristic plateau road safety risk threshold.After a survey showed that subjective feelings due to the combined effects of high altitude and the driver’s bodily functions, so that the driving behavior of a security risk. Correlation analysis between the factors for the driver and student psychological characteristics of indicators show that the elevation on student psychological characteristics significantly; the driver s’ perception, judgment and ability to respond,as the altitude rises weakened, changes in different ages clear; driving experience and driving time have a certain influence on the driving characteristics of the driver.
