Along with the development of economy, the motor vehicle population and the roads length are icreasing in our country. The growth rate of roads lengt is far lower than that of the motor vehicle population, which leads traffic congestion and traffic accidents frequently. How to improve the urban road traffic safety has become the urgent problems in the urban development.In this paper, on the basis of analyzing systematically the road traffic safety situation and the research status at home and abroad, combining with the influencing factors of urban road traffic safety in our country to construct a comprehensive assessment system of the influencing factors of urban road traffic safety, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on principal component analysis(PCA) is applied to analyze the influencing factors of the urban road traffic safety. The main contents as follows:First, on the basis of analyzing the influent factors of urban road traffic safety at home and abroad, combining with the practical situation of urban road traffic safety in China, personnel factors, vehicle factors, environmental factors, road factors and management factors which are influencing factors of urban road traffic safety are identified and analyzed in detail. A comprehensive assessment system of the influencing factors of urban road traffic safety was constructed on the basis of the five primary elements, and 17 secondary elements and 99 third elements.Second, the investigation acquisition data is applied to anlayze the relationship between the driving experience, age, and accident rate of the motor vehicle drivers. The relationship between the number of the driver’s driving experience with accidents is fitted to find out the most optimum harness age which is the lowest accident rate of the harness age is obtained by comparing the actual data and the simulated data.Third, the expert scorting or the investigation data is considered to calculate the weight of the basic level index. The conclusion are that no matter how much expert scoring weight is caculated in the weight of criteria layer evaluation index, road traffic safety situation of Shenzhen are generally, and the degree of the influence is reduced from personnel factor, vehicle factor, management factor, road factors to environmental factors.Fourth, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on principal component analysis was applied to analyze road traffic safety situation of the city in Guodong Province and how the factors influence the urban road traffic safety. The analysis results show that the road traffic safety situation of the city of Guangdong Province is just so so and the size of personnel factors, vehicle factors, environmental factors, road factors and management factors influencing on the city of Guodong Province are minished in order.
