Research On Intelligent Protection Device Automatic Modeling Based On IEC 61850

With the promoting of Smart Grid in China, Intelligent Substation as one of the core part of Smart Grid will be popular in future. IEC 61850 as the uniform standard in SAS field, which is used to make the property of the system such as interoperability?openness and extendibility better. In a word, it plays a vital role in promoting the degree of automation. More and more scholars have already put their focus on it, which includes data modeling methods and IED configurator. However, there are still some shortcomings, the IED configurator demands more research and development in projects. The paper selects the C# language to realize the automatic modeling tool, which is of positive meaning in engineering.Firstly, IEC 61850 is analyzed in this thesis, which is the basis of automatic modeling. It allows the definition of substation layered architecture, main technical features, and its realization process. Secondly, paper expounds the language in modeling that is extensible markup language XML1.0. The structure of XML and its grammar content are introduced and an example is provided in this paper. This paper select C# as the programming language in realizing the function of IED configurator, which contains five parts, SCL file parsing, SCL file attributes editor part, documents efficacy, export the ICD document part and the model and data mapping part. Finally, the paper combines an engineering project to illustrate how the IED tool work in reality.IED configurator for automatic modeling on device designed by this paper can make the model files automatically be generated.What's more, both of the workload and the probability of error in modeling are greatly reduced. In a word, the tool makes a positive effects in the practical application of IEC 61850 standard.
